Origami Wishing Star

These origami wishing stars (also called lucky stars) are easy and fun to make. Start with a long strip of paper that is of the ratio 1:13 or greater. This is to say, if the paper is 1″ wide, then it should be at least 13″ long. If you use a standard USA 8.5″ x 11″ sheet of paper, you can slice off a half inch strip along the 11″ edge and that works fine. You can also buy a the pre-cut strips of paper to make lucky stars yourself.
